Injecting color into the drab concrete Sabine Street pedestrian bridge, Pink Primer commands attention to an important connection across Memorial Drive to Buffalo Bayou Park in Houston, Texas. This work transforms everyday gray infrastructure into a public art experience of subversive playfulness. Painting, a seemingly mundane act, is respected as necessary labor and thus a piece of performance art in itself.
